Liangbing Hu wins the 2017 KINGFA Young Investigator Award

The ACS CELL Division is pleased to annouce that Dr. Liangbing Hu, Associate Professor at University of Maryland College Park, has been selected as the winner of the 2017 KINGFA Young Investigator Award. Dr Liangbing Hu KINGFA Young Investigator Award lecture will be held at St. Landry, Loews New Orleans Hotel. The title of his lecture is “Nanocellulose for nanotechnologies”.

Dr. Hu is the founding director of the Center for Advanced Paper and Textile at the University of Maryland College Park.Dr. Hu has made innovative and significant contributions in several fronts of wood nanocellulose-based technologies to replace plastic, glass, and steel as well as 3D carbon for beyond-Li ion batteries and clean water. He is also the Co-founder of Inventwood Inc. with efforts to further commercialize the aforementioned cellulose nanotechnologies.

Sponsored by Kingfa Scientific and Technology Co., the KINGFA Young Investigator Award recognizes outstanding contributions by young investigators to the science and chemical technology of cellulose and renewable materials. This is an annual award administered by the ACS CELL Division Awards Chair. It aims to encourage young researchers in related research fields to take root in scientific research, innovate and forge ahead, and contribute to the cause of human science, which is an important award in the field of international cellulose and renewable resources.
