Product separation tower of Ningbo Kingfa Propane Dehydrogenation Project successfully hoisted

On August 16, the product separation tower of Ningbo Kingfa Propane Dehydrogenation Project was successfully hoisted, which marks the main large tower equipment of the 600,000-ton propane dehydrogenation device has been completed, laying a solid foundation for process equipment installation.

The product separation tower is the major equipment of the propane dehydrogenation project. The tower is hoisted in six sections, with a diameter of 9.2 meters, a height of 128 meters, and a total weight of 2,850 tons. The construction difficulties are rare in the industry, including equipment hoisting, aerial pairing, "wearing clothes and hats", and pre-installation of internal parts. 

Piling, pressure test for tower body, pipelines installation, and tray installation account for two-thirds of the entire construction period. Construction site management, personnel and machine resources input, HSE operational risks are all of paramount importance. During the construction, the relevant departments, constructors and the supervision companies overcame difficulties including the COVID-19 pandemic, continuous high temperature, and complicated transportation to ensure the smooth implementation of the project.
