National key laboratory for high-quality utilization of polymer materials

The laboratory is one of the third batch of national key laboratories approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology. The laboratory is an important part of the technological innovation system of Kingfa Science & Technology. Its main tasks are, in light of the future development trend and market demand of the industry, to carry out basic research and prospective research on waste plastics, seek breakthroughs for high-efficient recycling, automatic recycling, and alloying and compounding of waste plastics, and develop special materials for recycled plastic with physical and mechanical properties similar to the original resin, provide theoretical and technical support for efficient utilization of waste plastic resource and the development of high-quality plastics recycling industry. Furthermore, the laboratory will study and develop international, national and industrial standards on recycled plastics, gather and cultivate excellent talents, and lead and prompt the technological progress in the industry.
